Checking In and Checking Out

Check In / Check Out

We welcome middle school and high school students to this campus every year.  Because this is a new experience, and because the campus offers so many opportunities to exercise freedom and choice, it is necessary to contextualize the presence of these young people.  It is, therefore,standard practice for the Athenaeum to provide a high level of vigilance for the safety of students and a sense of well-being for parents. 

Proper measures for leaving and returning to campus are essential to the success of the Madison Athenaeum program.  Please follow the directions listed in this section so that we may be sure of everyone's safety and security. 

Sunday, July 24

Check-in time begins at 12:00 to 1:00 pm.  Parents must accompany students to the assigned dormitory buildings. Please consult this page on Friday, 22 July for the name and location of your dormitory.  

To be assigned a dorm room key, students must submit a $35 deposit in the form of a check or money order.  Staff cannot handle cash for the key deposits.  The following documents must be signed and submitted either to Emily Garcia or David Hudson.  


Friday, 29 July, Schedule

Students must be picked up by a parent, legal guardian or authorized party in front of their dormitories at 5:00pm on Friday, 29 July. 

Only those individuals who have been given written authorization by a parent or guardian may transport students on or off the Delta State campus.
